PAD PARIS
April 2018 / Paris, France
During its participation at PAD Paris 2018, Galerie Jacques Lacoste honoured a selection of furniture from 1920-1925 period.
The preceding year, the gallery had exhibited an ensemble of Art Nouveau pieces, which had included a rare dining table by Hector Guimard. This year Jacques Lacoste moved forward in time. The gallery exhibited a fine selection of creations from 1920-25 : a beautiful sculpture by Seizo Sugawara, a chest of draws by Jean Dunand that had once belonged to Madame Agnès (Rittener), a set of four stools by Georges de Feure from Madeleine Vionnet’s couture slons, and finally a set by Louis Süe et André Mare.
Jacques Lacoste thus affirmed his desire to explore the Decorative Arts of the 20th century.
