GALERIE JACQUES LACOSTE AT PAD PARIS 2025: Seventies Spirit
The Jacques Lacoste gallery is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming PAD Paris, which will be held at the Tuileries Gardens from April 2 to 6, 2025.
For this new edition of the Parisian fair, Jacques Lacoste highlights the design and furniture of artists from the 1960s-1970s. On a booth evoking this era, the gallery will present iconic creations by Serge Mouille, Pierre Paulin, Auguste Fix, Yonel Lebovici, Ruth Franken, Guy de Rougemont, Marie-Claude de Fouquières, Philolaos, Roger Capron, and others.
This decade, particularly rich in proposals, benefits from the wave of enthusiasm and the taste for experimentation expressed in all areas of creation, reflecting a deep cultural emancipation against a backdrop of political openness. The decorative arts of these years demonstrate bold approaches that challenge established codes and the classical concept of furniture design. The common threads are the exploration of materials (metal, plastics, resin) and a reflection on form that unfolds in two directions: the purity of drawing and minimalist, elegant simplicity, or the attraction for narrative design that integrates representation in the pictorial sense of the term.
